Hi, I’m Carlee Hoopes, the travel writer and founder of Carlee Alexandria, a blog dedicated to inspiring others to visit boutique hotels and bed and breakfasts. By day, I work in marketing at a nonprofit and serve as a marketing consultant for local small businesses — experience that fuels my ability to create authentic, effective content that truly connects with audiences and drives results.
My husband Asher and I are based in the Greenville, South Carolina area, where we call a southern bungalow home. When we’re not on the road discovering new destinations, you’ll likely find us tending to Dwell and Daisy, our pop-up home and garden boutique, or playing with our moody black cat, Martin, and our spunky golden retriever, Daisy.
The blog started as a personal creative outlet but quickly evolved into a true passion: shining a spotlight on bed and breakfasts and boutique hotels across the country. Since 2022, we’ve enjoyed connecting with innkeepers, owners, and managers, listening to their unique stories, and helping them share their properties with a wider audience through authentic storytelling and thoughtful marketing support.
At its heart, Carlee Alexandria is about inspiring carefully curated trips that celebrate living well and savoring every moment. Our goal is simple — to help readers discover exceptional stays where they can unplug, reconnect, and create their own lasting memories, just as we do on every adventure.
