I believe the best travel experiences don’t just happen at a destination. They begin the moment you check in. My mission is simple: to show you that where you stay matters just as much as where you go, and that boutique hotels, charming inns, and bed and breakfasts offer something no ordinary hotel chain ever could.

By day, I work at an agency dedicated to serving dude ranches, boutique hotels, and bed and breakfasts, giving me an inside look at what makes these properties so special. Part of what I love about boutique hotels is how they make the everyday feel special. I try to bring that same feeling into this space through lifestyle finds, from things for your home to fashion, travel accessories, and more.

When I’m not traveling, I’m home at our southern bungalow in the Greenville, South Carolina area with my husband, Asher, our black cat, Martin, and our golden retriever, Daisy. Asher and I also run Dwell and Daisy, a pop-up home and garden boutique.

How it all started

In 2022, my husband Asher and I took our first bed and breakfast trip to the Rhett House Inn in Beaufort, South Carolina, and it changed the way I think about travel entirely. The location, the people, the breakfast, the beautifully restored historic home. I’ve been going back every year since.

That trip made me want to tell the stories of these properties and highlight what so many travelers are missing when they default to a generic hotel stay. There is no feeling quite like a great bed and breakfast or boutique hotel, and this blog exists to help you find yours.
