One of the many reasons I love living in Greenville, S.C. is all the gems surrounding the city. We decided to make it a date day and visited two places about 30-40 minutes from the city.
Our first stop was Fisher’s Orchard in Greer to pick a peck of peaches. Apples, strawberries and blueberries seem to be the most popular fruits to pick in the area, but peach picking might be my new favorite! We picked a basket for $17 and grabbed some farm fresh tomatoes while we were there. I see bruschetta in the future!
After heading home to wash our peaches, relax for a while and take a walk, we grabbed our picnic basket full of pasta salad and fruit and headed for Mountain Brook Vineyards in Tryon, N.C.
Mountain Brook is one of my favorite places to visit for a relaxing evening. They have live music, food trucks and movies at dusk on the weekends. And not to mention the views! It’s beautiful. But my favorite part has to be Cooper, the yellow lab that hangs out with all the visitors (and begs for a bite of prosciutto).
