Three things to do in Tampa, Florida

On our last visit to Asher’s grandma and aunt in Florida, we took a spontaneous day trip to spend a few hours in Tampa, Florida.

Asher and I stopped by three VERY COOL places in the city. Here’s where we went in Tampa (and where we think you should go too)!

Oxford Exchange

Oxford Exchange was my absolute favorite in Tampa. The building houses a bookstore, Warby Parker (I’m a huge fan of their glasses), gifts and household wares, a coffee shop, a tea shop, and a restaurant. It’s BEAUTIFUL. Be sure to make reservations at the restaurant before you visit, or make plans to stop by the champagne bar and peruse the books while you wait.

Fancy Free Nursery

Of course, we had to stop by a plant shop for Asher. Fancy Free Nursery is the cutest shop (I love their pink door). Asher purchased a ficus tineke. I keep saying NO MORE PLANTS and then I keep giving in. It’s my biggest fault at the moment.

King State Coffee

King State is a coffee roaster, beer brewer, coffee shop, beer and wine bar, and restaurant. They do it all. We went for the coffee and stayed a bit for the minimalist atmosphere.

What are your favorites in Tampa, Florida?

Next time, we’ll make plans to stay longer. Let me know your favorite things to do in Tampa in the comments below!

When we visit Florida, we normally take trips to Orlando, Vero Beach and Miami. For more on Florida, check out this post on our last weekend in the sunshine state.
