One of my best friends had her bachelorette weekend in Savannah, Georgia, so I went down early to explore the city before meeting up with the girls.
I’ve been to Savannah so many times that I have my favorite spots, so with three hours to kill, I explored the city on foot. Here’s where I went!
Note: I parked in the Whitaker parking garage, which is located conveniently by the River Walk and Ellis Square where the city market is.

The Paris Market and Brocante
The Paris Market is my favorite place to shop in Savannah! They have the prettiest home goods and a little cafe serving lattes, macarons and more.

Leopold’s Ice Cream
Full disclosure: I stopped by Leopold’s just to get a photo of the sign. BUT I have had their ice cream before and I can tell you it’s the best in the city.

Olde Pink House
The Olde Pink House might just be the prettiest historic site in all of Savannah. Did you know it used to be white? The red bricks would bleed through the white plaster, so instead of painting it white every year, the new owner decided to paint it pink.

Chippewa Square
Chippewa Square is best known for its part in Forrest Gump. Forrest sat on the bench in the square while waiting on the bus. I’m a fan of Tom Hanks, so I visit every time.

E. Shaver, Bookseller
When I think of Savannah, I think of bookstores, and this is one of my favorites.

The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist + Colonial Park Cemetery
The cathedral is one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture in the city, and right down the street is Colonial Park Cemetery. Perfect for an afternoon walk!
Note: Across the street from the cathedral is Mirabelle Savannah, where you can find the best Belgian waffles.

River Street
Did you go to Savannah if you didn’t visit River Street? I stopped by River Street for a quick stroll on my way out. It’s simply a must.
