Bellwether House, a luxury bed and breakfast in Savannah, Georgia

We enjoyed a complimentary stay at Bellwether House. All opinions are my own.

Bellwether House

In the heart of Savannah, Georgia, lies Bellwether House, a luxury hotel housed in a historic bed and breakfast.

Southern hospitality begins the moment you book with this 21+ B&B. The staff tailors their trip recommendations to what you want to experience during your stay.

And the hospitality doesn’t end there. A stay at this restored 1876 mansion includes unique experiences and top-notch amenities. The attention to detail in the guest rooms elevates the house’s historic character with added modern comforts.

Morning greets you with Chef Ryan Whyte-Buck’s breakfast, celebrating Indian flavors and Southern cooking traditions. Asher and I indulged in the golden oatmeal, two egg breakfast, crispy potatoes and Syrniki (fluffy pancakes). The B&B also offers a full espresso bar menu, and the baristas serve the best golden latte I’ve ever had. We can also vouch for the sea salt mocha—the perfect way to start your day in Georgia’s oldest city.

If you need a break from city exploration, you can join Bellwether House for afternoon tea, including a full spread of tea sandwiches, scones and cakes beautifully displayed on a gilded crane stand.

At Bellwether, every part of the day is a celebration. You can’t miss the evening sabering when the staff pops a bottle of champagne to commemorate the day and open their full-service bar.

During your visit, you should also take advantage of the B&B’s spa and wellness center. Bellwether House offers numerous options for massage treatments, hot baths and private yoga. On the last day of our stay, I relaxed with a mint and rosemary hot bath in their gorgeous copper tub—the cherry on top of a wonderful weekend getaway.

Looking to give your trip a little more pizzazz? You can enhance your stay with experiences, such as wine and chocolate in the room, a picnic in the square, celebration cakes, flowers, private dinners and chocolate tastings. Need I say more?

Guests can feel good about their visit too, because Bellwether House is committed to sustainable practices from the food and beverages they serve to the bath products they provide.

Exploring Savannah, Georgia

Bellwether House’s services don’t end at the B&B. This bed and breakfast focuses on curated stays, allowing guests to take full advantage of their time in the city.

Asher and I are longtime fans of Savannah, and our favorite pastimes are meandering the squares under the Spanish moss-covered trees, walking the riverfront and wandering in and out of shops.

Savannah is rich in history, so if you haven’t taken a trolley or late-night ghost tour, it’s worth a one-time experience. Now that we’ve visited several times, we usually stick to what we like best.

We recommend stopping by The Paris Market and Brocante for one-of-a-kind home goods, visiting The Olde Pink House and stopping by Chippewa Square, famous for its debut in Forrest Gump. You can also take a walk through the beautiful Forsyth Park, right behind Bellwether House.

If you have time, stick your toes in the sand at Tybee Island, only 30 minutes from the B&B.

When it comes time to eat, we recommend Mirabelle Savannah for liege waffles, Bull Street Taco, Flying Monk Noodle Bar, The Collins Quarter and Public Kitchen (our favorite). A few other local spots recommended by Bellwether staff are Common Restaurant, Vic’s on the River, The Rhett and Common Thread.

And when it comes time for dessert, we recommend ice cream at Leopold’s or something chocolate at Lulu’s Chocolate Bar. If you’re in the mood for a drink, we recommend Artillery for the extensive libations menu and upscale yet laidback atmosphere.

While we believe you will have the time of your life in Savannah, we also believe that a stay at Bellwether House will make your experience truly unforgettable. You can book your room here. Let them know we sent you!

What a charming B&B! An adults-only stay might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I personally cherish this type of uninterrupted time away and appreciate that consideration. Adding Bellwether House to my list for my next stay in Savannah!
