Exploring under the Tuscan sun has always been a dream of mine. During our visit, Florence effortlessly weaved itself onto my list of the best places in the world.
The sun came out on our second day in Venice, and it made all the difference! We started our day with lattes and pastries in a little hole-in-the-wall eatery before heading to St. Mark’s Square and the Bridge of Sighs.
It’s not every day you get the chance for a mini weekend getaway with the best of friends. Our day trip to Atlanta, Ga. turned into an overnight adventure so the boys could visit a car show.

Living in Greenville, S.C. makes Asheville an easy day trip. I’ve been several times, so I have a lot of favorite places to visit, but there are two Asheville gems that I always stand out – Flora and The Regeneration Station.

I grew up visiting Blowing Rock, N.C. One of my favorite childhood memories is sitting in the park gazebo and eating chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone from Kilwin’s. Blowing Rock is a special place to me (& not just because of the ice cream).
My favorite thing to do on a trip is visit all the coffee shops in the area. I had high expectations for NYC. When we decided to take the trip, I started doing my research. I compiled a huge list of coffee shops I wanted to go to. We didn’t make it to all of them, but here are some of my favorites from our time in the city.
